It is the firm resolve of the BJP government and the Corporation that sanitation workers receive their due rights and entitlements, he said, adding regularisation will not only provide job security to these employees but also ensure social security, healthcare facilities, and a dignified life for their families.

“The core of the BJP and the Corporation has always been ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas’. In line with this commitment, we are providing dignity and stability to sanitation workers. BJP will ensure that in the coming days, no sanitation worker has to face insecurity or instability,” the BJP leader said.

Mayor Singh said that the day marks the beginning of a new chapter in the lives of sanitation workers. “The regularisation of 310 sanitation workers by the corporation is proof that we acknowledge their hard work and dedication. This is not merely the distribution of regularization letters, but an act of honoring their lifelong service.”

Singh further said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the leadership of Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, more daily wagers, temporary sanitation workers will be regularized in a phased manner.

BJP’s goal is that no employee of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi remains temporary. Until every sanitation worker is granted permanent status, this process will continue. The welfare of sanitation workers is the foundation of Delhi’s welfare, he said.

“MCD is working in accordance with the Prime Minister’s Swachh Bharat Mission and the BJP’s organisational work culture. Our aim is not only to make Delhi clean but also to empower and dignify the hands that keep this city clean. Sanitation workers are not just employees, they are the true ‘Cleanliness Ambassadors’ of Delhi,” he added.

Standing Committee Chairperson Satya Sharma described sanitation workers as the backbone of the corporation, saying that even in adverse circumstances, they have safeguarded the health of Delhi’s citizens.

The BJP-led municipal government is giving special attention to both cleanliness and the welfare of sanitation workers, in line with the vision of the Prime Minister, she added.

Other leaders and officials present on the occassion also praised the role of the MCD workers.
